8th PRIZE FOR MEDICAL RESEARCH OF
THE MASONIC LODGE
LES AMIS DU COMMERCE ET LA PERSÉVÉRANCE RÉUNIS.

 

1. In september 2009, the Masonic Lodge “ LES AMIS DU COMMERCE ET LA PERSEVERANCE REUNIS ” in Antwerp, will award its 8th Medical Prize. The prize-money is of  € 30.000.

The purpose of the prize is to reward a scientist or group of scientists who in the course of their research work, have produced a breakthrough contribution to the progress of medical science, whether theoretical, practical, fundamental or clinical, and as such a consistent benefit for mankind. The prize may be divided between several candidates. 

 2. The competition is open to any  researcher working in the European Community, Switzerland and Israel, without discrimination of race, gender, philosophy or religion. Candidates for the Prize must be put up by at least two scientific authorities who will have to vouch in writing for the scientific merits of the Candidates' contribution.

 3. The Prize will be awarded on the recommendation of a board of jurors appointed by the Masonic Lodge “ LES AMIS DU COMMERCE ET LA PERSEVERANCE REUNIS ”. The board of jurors consists of 6 scientitsts, including a President chosen  amongst them.

 4. All applications must be accompanied by a detailed curriculum vitae of the candidates as well as a summary  of their scientific activities.

5. The prize will be awarded during an academic session in Antwerp on the 4th of September 2009.

 6. The Masonic Lodge “ LES AMIS DU COMMERCE ET LA PERSEVERANCE REUNIS” reserves the right to withhold the prize should the applications appear to be below standard.
